He's always been more than a "child's play thing", and we all knew it. Fans of Toy Story, no doubt, have Buzz Lightyear near the top of their list of favorite characters. That's why it takes an Avenger to tell the origin story of this Space Ranger. Before I get into that, check out the first trailer for Lightyear.
Am I the only one who wasn't prepared for Buzz Lighyear with hair? The voice behind those flowing locks belongs to none other than Chris Evans. The film marks his first Pixar project. That is not the case for longtime Pixar animator Angus MacLane, who will direct Lightyear. Galyn Susman is also on board as producer.
So, when will we be able to see the adventure that started it all? Lightyear will be released on June 17, 2022 from Disney and Pixar. The plan right now is to release the film in theaters, but until things are truly back to normal, that's something we'll have to keep an eye on. So, keep checking back for any updates.
