LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special Sneak Peek Released

We all know that Star Wars fans love to argue about how bad things are.  One universal truth seems to be that the original Star Wars Holiday Special is the gold standard in terrible.  That's just from fans, even those that were in it know how bad it was.  Disney+ is giving it another shot, but this time, in LEGO form.

We've known for some time that the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special would be coming to Disney+ this year.  To be exact, it will arrive on November 17th.  Up to this point, we've only seen a few images from the special, one of which you can see above.  Then Disney+ released a preview of what's to come in November, and in that, a quick glimpse at the upcoming special.  See for yourself:

I'll admit, that was a very quick look.  Like "blink and you'll miss it" quick.  Still, it's better than nothing and more than we've had up to this point.  While no one expects this to be a masterpiece, personally I just hope it's fun.  From the very beginning I thought that doing this LEGO style was the right move, and the best way to inject that spirit of fun into this upcoming special.

Here's the synopsis from Disney+:  "The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special reunites Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewie, Rose and the droids for a joyous feast on Life Day. Rey sets off on a new adventure with BB-8 to gain a deeper knowledge of the Force. At a mysterious Jedi Temple, she is hurled into a cross-timeline adventure through beloved moments in Star Wars cinematic history, coming into contact with Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan and other iconic heroes and villains from all nine Skywalker saga films. But will she make it back in time for the Life Day feast and learn the true meaning of holiday spirit?"

Even if this one is bad too, look on the bright side, a new episode of The Mandalorian will be out that Friday to cheer you up.  Keep checking back for our reviewl.
