Jeff Lemire Joins DC’s Black Label For Two New Series

I’m just going to say it now, I’m a huge fan of Jeff Lemire. He has a way of bringing new and complex emotions to pretty much every character that he writes. So when I saw that he would be writing a couple of books for DC’s Black Label, I was excited. Then I saw the titles, and my excitement went through the roof! First reported by io9, Lemire will write both The Joker and The Question. Here’s what he posted on his official Twitter page:

You can see who will be joining the creative teams in the tweet as well. Providing art for Joker: Killer Smile will be Andrea Sorrentino. For The Question: The Deaths of Vic Sage, art will be done by Denys Cowan and Bill Sienkiewicz. The Joker story seems to be a different twist on his experience with a mental health professional (which reportedly doesn’t involve Harley Quinn.) The Question is a mystery about life and death in many different time periods.

Both books will be out in the Fall. We will pass along any new information as we get it.
