It looks like NBC is ready to get back in the time travel drama game. Deadline reports that Janina Gavankar (The Morning Show) has been cast in the new series, Echo. The drama pilot comes from Davis Entertainment and Universal Television.
The potential series, written by JJ Bailey, almost feels like Timeless meets Minority Report. According to the description, is “a high-concept, genre procedural revolving around a team of investigators who solve the highest-profile crimes by sending our heroes into the past — in the body of the victim. They assume the victim’s identity and must race against time to prevent the crime before it happens.” Gavankar will play a driven police officer named Mel Goodwin.
