The return of G.I. Joe to the big screen seems to be more focused on the spinoffs this time around. There has been some Snake Eyes casting news recently, and today another name was added. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Iko Uwais has been cast as Snake Eyes’ mentor, Hard Master.
Uwais was recently seen in Wu Assassins on Netflix, but is probably better known for The Raid movies. He joins Henry Golding (who will play Snake Eyes) and Andrew Koji (playing Storm Shadow) in the upcoming spinoff. Paramount once again teams with the new Hasbro film division AllSpark Pictures for this project.
Snake Eyes hits theaters on October 16, 2020.
