‘Hoops’ Reunites ‘New Girl’ Cast On Netflix In Adult Animation Series (TRAILER)

Sure the NBA is finally back, but who is ready to play Hoops in your living room? That is the title of a new adult animated series coming to Netflix, with a voice cast who’s names you might recognize. First, the trailer:

That guy you hear who is suffering that river is Jake Johnson. He plays a foul mouthed high school basketball coach with a terrible team and a life to match. Will turning the team around be his ticket to the big leagues? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

This series also serves as a bit of a New Girl reunion, in a way. Johnson’s costars Max Greenfield, Damon Wayans Jr. and Hannah Simone will appear as guest voices on the show. You’ll also hear Guy Fieri, Will Forte, Nick Swardson, Sam Richardson, W. Earl Brown and Steve Berg. Translation, this is going to be crazy and a lot of fun.

Hoops was created by Ben Hoffman. He and Johnson will serve as executive producers along with Seth Cohen, M. Dickson, Itay Reiss, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The series is animated by Bento Box and produced by 20th Century Fox Television.

The game begins on August 21st when Hoops premieres on Netflix. To get in on the action, go to www.netflix.com/Hoops
