‘His Dark Materials’ Premiere Announced For Late Fall 2020

We know that things are going to be taken up a notch this season on His Dark Materials from HBO. The journey is going to be an interesting one after what happened in Season 1. We last saw a trailer for Season 2 during Comic-Con@Home, but now a new trailer has dropped with news of a ballpark release date.


It looks like the new season is going to premiere some time in November on both HBO and HBO Max. In case you missed the synopsis, Season 2: "begins after Lord Asriel has opened a bridge to a new world, and, distraught over the death of her best friend, Lyra follows Asriel into the unknown. In a strange and mysterious abandoned city she meets Will, a boy from our world who is also running from a troubled past. Lyra and Will learn their destinies are tied to reuniting Will with his father but find their path is constantly thwarted as a war begins to brew around them. Meanwhile, Mrs. Coulter searches for Lyra, determined to bring her home by any means necessary."

The series regulars for this season will be Dafne Keen, Ruth Wilson, Amir Wilson, Ariyon Bakare, Andrew Scott, Will Keen, Ruta Gedmintas and Lin-Manuel Miranda. You will also see the addition of Terence Stamp, Jade Anouka and Simone Kirby.
