Harley Quinn Gets A ‘Batman: Black & White’ Digital First Spinoff

DC Comics had been teasing a big Harley Quinn announcement, and now we know what it is. Harley is getting a new DC Digital First series based on the style of Batman: Black & White. Harley Quinn: Black + White + Red is a 14 chapter series that will release each Friday. They will be in black and white, but will see red pop up as well in very unique ways.

The first chapter is “Harleen: Red”, which is appropriately done by writer/artist Stjepan Šejić with lettering by Gabriela Downie. This will be set in the world of the incredible Harleen graphic novel. You’ll see more amazing talent contributing to futute chapter including Harley Quinn co-creator Paul Dini; the team of Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti, and Chad Hardin; Saladin Ahmed and Javier Rodriguez; Tim Seeley and Juan Ferreyra; Erica Henderson, Daniel Kibblesmith, and more. Mirka Andolfo (DC Comics: Bombshells), Dani (The Low, Low Woods), Joe Quinones (Dial H for Hero), and Riley Rossmo (Martian Manhunter) which normally showcase their art talents will lend their hand to writing some chapters as well.
