FIRST LOOK: Godspeed Revealed In “The Flash”

We have known for a while now that Episode 18 this season would be titled, "Godspeed". I think all comic book fans hoped that this would mean that the villain from The Flash Rebirth comics would be coming to The CW series. Now we know for sure, that's what is happening.

If you're not familiar with Godspeed from the comic books, allow me to clue you in. The character was created in 2016 by Joshua Williamson and Carmine Di Giandomenico. He began as a Central City PD officer and was actually a good friend of Barry Allen. His name is August Heart, and he does have another connection to Barry. His brother was murdered, and the killer went free because all of the evidence in Barry's lab was destroyed when he was struck by lightning. That is all I will reveal, because I want to avoid spoiling any potential storylines on the show.

As you can see in a more full look at the suit, it is fairly comics accurate. I'm sure with visual effects added, and on screen, it will look even more excited. I thought it would be a while before we saw Godspeed on The Flash, if ever. He might be one of the most deadly foes in the entire Flash rogues gallery. I won't reveal his powers, again to avoid spoilers, but they are really on another level collectively. I can't wait to see how they work Godspeed into the current story.

The episode, "Godspeed", will also be directed by The Flash star Danielle Panabaker. Here is the official synopsis:
After discovering that Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) is working with Thawne (Tom Cavanagh), Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) disagree about how to handle their daughter in the wake of this shocking news. Team Flash isn't sure they can trust Nora, so they go through her journal to find out exactly how she came to work alongside their greatest nemesis.

Check back later this week for our review of the episode!
