‘Doom Eternal’ Delayed; PlayStation 5 Release Date Announced

Call is a good news, bad news situation. Let’s start with the good news. Sony has announced on the PlayStation blog that the new console, PlayStation 5, would arrive in time for the Holiday of 2020. I’m guessing Black Friday or the week after. WIRED was also first to break the news of a new controller shipping, as well. Read more in the above blog.

That might make this bad news not seem so bad. Bethesda and id Software announced that Doom Eternal has been delayed until March 20, 2020. They took to Twitter to explain:

I’ve always said, take as much time as you need to get it right. Shipping a buggy game that you need to patch later makes zero sense to me. Now if it’s delayed and still has major bugs, feel free to go Twitter crazy. Until then, deep breaths gamers, 2020 is going to be a great year!
