The final season of Arrow kicked off this week, and there was a lot to take in. We also took a trip back to Star City 2040 to see how Mia was doing with her new team. At some point this season, we know that there will be a backdoor pilot for the upcoming spinoff series with Mia Smoak, Dinah Drake and Laurel Lance. Do we already know what the title of that series will be?
Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim sent out this tweet, along with some epic comic art:
#Arrow‘s final season bows today, so it feels appropriate to share this glimpse of its future. Many thanks to @DCComics @manulupac @DaveMcCaig & Brett Breeding for this stunning art. #TheFutureIsFemale@Kat_McNamara @MzKatieCassidy @JulianaHarkavy @SchwartzApprovd @ojbalderrama pic.twitter.com/i6H0WEZAEn

First off, I love this cover. Second, it’s hard to ignore Green Arrow and the Canaries at the top. I know the title is a little long, but seems like it would be very appropriate. If that’s the case, we could also see Oliver pass the mantle to his daughter in Crisis. You could make the argument that it happened last season already, but seeing Oliver have that moment with his daughter would be amazing. Seems too good to pass up.
No official date has been announced, but it appears that the spinoff starring Katherine McNamara, Juliana Harkavy and Katie Cassidy Rogers will premiere next season. More updates as we get them.
