Disney+ Adds Another ‘Star Wars’ Series, From ‘Russian Doll’ Co-Creator

We might not see another Star Wars movie for a while, but the live action series are starting to add up.  Variety reports that yet another Star Wars series is coming to Disney+.  The "female-centric series" will be written by Leslye Headland, the co-creator of Netflix's Russian Doll.  Headland will also serve as showrunner.

In true Disney/Lucasfilm fashion, that's pretty much all that we know right now.  The only other clue that we get is that this series will take place in a different part in the timeline.  Given how much that timeline has been spread it, that's not much of a clue.  There are already three movie trilogies that are spread out quite a bit.  If I were to guess, we could be looking at a Doctor Aphra series.  Remember, that story takes place after A New Hope but before Empire Strikes Back.  I can't recall another Star Wars series within that timeline.  It's also a story that would be a bit on the darker side.

So let the speculation begin!  What would you like to see added to the already jam packed Disney+ Star Wars slate?
