‘Debris’ Gets A Series Order From NBC

This upcoming Fall TV season will be a difficult one for sure. Even more difficult when for any new and upcoming pilots.  Lucky for one sci-fi series at NBC.  Even with the start of the Fall TV season very much in doubt, NBC has given the green light to send Debris straight to series.

According to Deadline, filming had not quite completing filming on the pilot.  So producers took The Blacklist route.  Using animation, they were able to present a pilot to NBC.  Clearly it worked, because here we are headed to series.  There is no word on whether or not the seires will need to go through any re-shoots.

Debris stars Jonathan Tucker and Riann Steele, as two agents sent to investigate a downed alien spacecraft. The pilot was written by J.H. Wyman, who will also produce. Wyman is joined by Legendary and Universal Television, with Jason Hoffs also producing through Frequency Films. No target air date, or release window, was given for the series. Keep checking back.
