DC’s Stargirl has been a breakout hit with fans and critics alike. Today’s news seemed pretty inevitable, but there is a twist. The CW announced today that DC’s Stargirl has been renewed for a second season. That wasn’t the most surprising bit of news.
The press release went on to say that The CW “will become the exclusive in-season home” of the series. That means that DC Universe would no longer be airing new episodes in season. The CW would also be the next day streaming home on their website and app. Right now, that’s all we know and I don’t want to turn this into a larger discussion of the future of DC Universe here. That is something that I will save for a future podcast.
For now, Season 1 of DC’s Stargirl continues to air Monday on DC Universe and Tuesday at 8pm ET on The CW.
