Yesterday was a big day for DC fans, as we finally found out when the DC Universe streaming service would be launching. During a live stream of the new DC Daily news show (more on that in a second), we found out that the service would be launching on September 15th, which is WAY earlier than I think anyone could have expected. If that wasn't news enough, we also got plenty of other nuggets of information.
You probably thought we would be waiting a while before Titans would premiere on the service, and it looks like that is NOT the case. The show will premiere on October 12th, will consist of 12 episodes that will be released weekly on Fridays and Warner Bros. TV has announced it will have a special screening during the week of New York Comic-Con on October 3rd.
The fun didn't stop there, as some new images were teased for Titans before the attention went to Young Justice: Outsiders. Above you can see a clip, featuring Nightwing, that was released during the live stream. Unfortunately, all we know for sure is that we will not see the show until 2019. The good news is, fans will be able to catch up, with the first two seasons of Young Justice being available on the service on launch day.
Since the service is being launched on Batman Day, it was also announced on the live stream that anyone who pre-orders DC Universe before September 10th will be entered to win the "The Ultimate Batman Studio Tour Sweepstakes." According to the press release, one lucky member the chance to win a one-of-a-kind experience for the Ultimate Batman Fan! The winner gets to visit Warner Bros., take the WB Studio Tour Hollywood, visit DC headquarters, ride in the Batmobile, walkaway with an unbelievable prize package and more. All fans who have already pre-ordered are also automatically entered for a chance to win. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal.
Finally we got to see the regular hosts and upcoming contributors for the DC Daily news show. Some faces, maybe even all, you will recognize. Just in case, here's a full list (in no particular order):
