Dark Horse Comics Recruits Two ‘The Legend Of Korra’ Stars For Live Reading

Since the beginning of “stay at home” orders, there has been a lot of creativity from the world of entertainment. From live at home concerts to TV cast table reads, fans have really been treated to some cool stuff during difficult times. Now, Dark Horse Comics has something special for The Legend of Korra fans.

This coming Monday (April 6th) at 2pm PT, there will be a live reading of The Legend of Korra: Turf War Part One on the Dark Horse Twitch page. The best part is, the reading will be done by two of the biggest stars of the Nickelodeon series. Korra herself, Janet Varney, will be joined by Seychelle Gabriel who is the voice of Asami. Dark Horse will also provide a free digital excerpt of the story for fans as well. There will even be a Q&A with the actors after the reading. If all of that isn’t enough, there will be prizes as well.

Not familiar with the story? Here’s a synopsis: “Turf Wars begins with Korra and Asami leaving the spirit world and returning to Republic City only to find political hijinks and human vs. spirit conflict, as a pompous developer plans to turn the new spirit portal into an amusement park, potentially severing an already tumultuous connection with the spirits. In order to get through it all, Korra and Asami vow to look out for each other—but first, they’ve got to get better at being a team.”

The full story, written by Nickelodeon TV series co-creator and executive producer Michael Dante DiMartino with art by Irene Koh, is a three part graphic novel that serves as the official continuation of the series.
