D23 sure didn’t waste any time dropping some big news on it’s first night. Fans were told that the first trailer for the upcoming Star Wars TV series, The Mandalorian, would be coming today and they delivered. Here it is:
Hopefully this ends up being the kind of bounty hunter story that Star Wars fans have been waiting on for years. The Mandalorian will be available at launch on Disney+ on November 12th.
Deadline also reports that Ming-Na Wen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) has joined the cast in a mystery role. The cast already includes Pedro Pascal in the title role along with Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte. It’s not clear what role that she might play, but it seems like a great addition to an already impressive cast.
The Mandalorian has already been renewed for a second season prior to it’s premiere. We’ll have more from D23 as the news comes out.
