Leaks happen, it’s a part of the social media world that we live in. So when a first look at the hibernating Chaos Walking found it’s way online, Lionsgate decided to just embrace it. So here is the trailer, if you haven’t seen it yet:
We were also treated to an official synopsis: “In the not too distant future, Todd Hewitt (Tom Holland) discovers Viola (Daisy Ridley), a mysterious girl who crash lands on his planet, where all the women have disappeared and the men are afflicted by “the Noise” – a force that puts all their thoughts on display. In this dangerous landscape, Viola’s life is threatened – and as Todd vows to protect her, he will have to discover his own inner power and unlock the planet’s dark secrets.”
As if combining stars from the Star Wars and Marvel universes wasn’t enough, Chaos Walking also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Demián Bichir, Cynthia Erivo, Nick Jonas, Kurt Sutter, and David Oyelowo. Doug Liman, who you probably remember from The Bourne Identity, is the movie’s director. The story is based on the novel The Knife of Never Letting Go from Patrick Ness.
How it will be released is likely up in the air, like most movies. We do know that it will happen January 22, 2021. Once we have any updates, we’ll pass them along. Check back for our review, as well.
