‘Batwoman’ & ‘Nancy Drew’ Get Full Season Orders From The CW

It pays to be a detective on The CW these days. Deadline broke the good news that both Batwoman and Nancy Drew have been upgraded to full season orders. This ups both shows for an additional 9 episodes, despite being less than a month into their season.

The report says that the numbers have been strong in delayed viewing for both shows. Batwoman increased by nearly 80% from DVR and streaming viewing. Nancy Drew had the biggest increase, 114% in adults 18-49 in Live+7 ratings. It helps that The CW has their own, ad supported streamer, which you don’t need a cable provider to log in to.

It helps for these new series to be adjacent to proven winners like Supergirl and Riverdale, but both shows have gotten off to a strong start of their own. This also bodes well for Katy Keene, which will premiere midseason. Do you watch these show live or are you part of the digital bump?
