I have to say, I have been enjoying this dual release model from Warner Bros. Pictures. Having the option of being in a theater or watching on HBO Max has been super beneficial for me. I will admit, thinking back to when the announcement was made, I don't recall seeing Those Who Wish Me Dead as part of the release line-up. So it was a nice surprise when a trailer popped up today for the Angelia Jolie led film.
The premise seems fairly obvious, but here is the quick synopsis from Warner Bros.: "Oscar winner Angelina Jolie stars as Hannah, a smoke jumper still reeling from the loss of three lives she failed to save from a fire when she comes across a traumatized 12-year-old boy with nowhere else to turn."
As you probably saw in the trailer, the film also stars Nicholas Hoult (the “X-Men” films), Finn Little (“Reckoning”), Aiden Gillen (“Game of Thrones,” “Peaky Blinders”), Medina Senghore (“Happy!”), Tyler Perry (“Vice,” “Gone Girl”), Jake Weber (“Midway,” “Homeland”), and Jon Bernthal (“Ford v Ferrari,” “Wind River”). Taylor Sheridan, who seems to be everywhere both in TV and movies right now, is the director. The story is based o the novel from Michael Koryta, who wrote the screenplay with Sheridan and Charles Leavitt.
You can see Those Who Left Me Dead in theaters and on HBO Max on May 14, 2021. Keep checking back for our review and more coverage.
